From fibre and yarn through to garments, fabrics, and home furnishings, the diverse product mix displayed at Bharat Tex underlined that India has a strong and vibrant textile industry. He further pointed out that the increasing international presence at Bharat Tex, with buyers from almost 130 countries, was a clear indication that it was increasingly gaining the much-deserved respect and credibility worldwide.

He further added that more than 11,000 buyers (6,000 international) from 138 countries participated in the exhibition, which evidenced India’s growing international presence.
Speaking at the exhibition, Dodhia also stressed the importance that the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector has had to the exhibition. “Almost 70 per cent of the exhibitors were MSMEs, reflecting the importance of the sector to India’s textile industry. The IMSME support allowed smaller manufacturers and producers to exhibit their wares before international customers, build new relationships, and increase exports.
Bharat Tex 2026 also recorded another milestone with 95 new exhibitors, signifying the increasing confidence exhibited by the fresh generation of Indian entrepreneurs looking to enter foreign markets. For first-time exporters, the exhibition was an ideal platform to meet and interact with the global buyers, industry specialists, and export promotion organizations to gain insights into global market trends and requirements and establish international linkages.
